Stepanek and Hajek both fell ill in Delray Beach I hope they can make it to Davis Cup.

Stepanek (not Hajek) is out according to French newspaper l'Equipe.

I think the Czech should call Rosol who did well in Dubai and previous weeks, or Jan Hernych or even Jaroslav Pospisil who currently does well but on clay.

promising player but very young (17 years old) : probably there for the experience, not to play.

By the way the nominations had been given before Stepanek did withdraw.

Now I guess they have to find a substitute.

Re: World Group 1R: Kazakhstan at Czech Republic (March 4-6, 2011)

Tough tie for Czech Rep. They are the favourites to win but this is strange that they didn`t pick up a good doubles player instead of Vesely like Dlouhy or Cermak (even Friedl or Skoch)

Dlouhy replaces Stepanek in the end, no Rosol or Hernych :

Really hoping that the real Golubev shows up as this could be quite an exciting tie.

Thanks for the article. This is really a pity to see that some players are not taking part of the Czech team arguing financial differences. With a good doubles team Czech would had been the favourite to win this Saturday semifinal match. To be honest I don`t know what to expect of Vesely. With these doubles teams looks like Kazakhstan is the favourite to win it.
