"This is no time to be fussy, it's just a time to get out there and, no matter what tournament it is, just go out there and play it."
Philippoussis did not rule out representing Australia in Davis Cup if called upon.
"When that time comes, then it comes, I'll deal with that, but I'm looking forward to playing no matter what it is," he said.

Exactly what needs to be heard, um peter flemming?? Frazier?? I dunno whoever that Davis cup coach is, wants Mark, but they want to see how he does over the next few months hes "the perennial x factor for australia" thats what they all say, its true, hewitt might be a solid rock but mark is a guy who can turn it all around if hes just inspired. If mark is gonna make a positive turn/comeback for his career (his attitude has already made a great turn around) itll be Davis cup, I mean if he did well at Wimbledon itd be great but training sessions are so tough in Davis cup and you never ask anymore of yourself than you do in Davis cup, and we all know how its kickstarted the careers of the croatian team in a big way. Itd be better if they were playing in australia though so that the Aussie crowd could get behind him if hes picked and he should be since his results are better than those of Luckzak and even Guccione.
