If he makes the final or wins, he won't retire.

If he does poorly, he will retire.

It's kind of like Wayne Ferreira. No matter how hard he tries, he can't retire because he has some good results right out of the blue. Coincidentally, Ferreira was Kafelnikov's former doubles partner.

Why did YMan drop him for Haarhuis?

Also, Y-Man is climbing steadily back up the rankings. He's just outside of the top 20 again.
