Every Tennis Tipping player is allowed to do managing. New managers usually start with challenger tournaments but there is no rule on it. If you want to manage a tournament, make sure that you have enough time every day to do the updates and post the differences. You just have to ask for a free tournament in the TT Managers thread and the thread owner (Marto) will confirm your managing by adding your name on the front page - or in case of any absence one of the other Board Members.
Please make sure you update your front pages when your event ends - these are used by Gavin and Sergio for their rankings.
If anybody has any questions on any aspects of managing or wants to try out but is unsure on anything – the Board Members are :-

Seriously, everybody, please make sure that the first page of your tournament thread is in order when the tournament is done! This also counts for the board members!

I had problems too with first page updates, specially when I was sorting out Rankings to match them with the official ones. And when the site started with the editing problem, I almost wanted to kill myself.
As a manager yourself you know about the importancce of getting diffs out as quickly as possible - particularly on a big event such as this when everyone wants to know them immediately, as Peter says we cannot spend ages checking with each other if we have picks after the deadline.
It is up to all players to read the OOP correctly - the ALT's read the OOP correctly and should not lose out because of this. I have mentioned this issue to the rest of the Board for confirmation so that there is no disagreement over this, and there is no disagreement.
Re: Tennis Tipping Managers Thread 2013 - April tournaments available ...
Yes it is too much work, especially tomorrow when there are 128 players in singles and doubles.
Adey is doing singles, for example if he's missing 20 picks, then he has to check with me and I have to go through my entire mailbox again to see if I have it then transfer to him. Since I will be posting the OOP every night, players will just send to me, even if they are not in doubles. And he has to check his entire mailbox for the ones I'm missing. Then after all that he has to place lucky losers and maybe shuffle the draw if two missing picks play each other. It would take at least 2 hours. This happened in US Open and Aus Open.
With this rule, Adey doesn't need me. He just checks his inbox and if he's missing 20 picks, he's missing 20. Place lucky losers and voila! Go take a nap
So all players in the 6 major tournaments, always send to both managers!
Re: Tennis Tipping Managers Thread 2013 - April tournaments available ...
I realised I am actually travelling next week with limited internet access so I definitely cannot host Dallas at all.
Would someone be able to take it? I realise this is kind of late notice. The entry lists are basically done, all you have to do is receive picks and post differences
Re: Tennis Tipping Managers Thread 2013 - April tournaments available ...
If someone can keep me notified of who's out because of IW, I'll do it...I live in the states.. I'm in the tournment but looking to move, just waiting on my partner to decide. If I stay, I would need someone to take my picks..

I can help you do that. I leave on Sunday so Saturday night when IW results are finalized I should be able to publish a final entry list and then you can take over the tournament from there.
