Nice effort by Isner, not surprising. He is a fighter. What cost him this match, which has happened all too often in other matches in the past, was his inability to put any pressure on Nadal in his service games. One break point opportunity in 5 sets.




Unless he can improve somewhat in that area(and so far I am seeing very little indication that is going to happen), he is going to be limited in what he can accomplish.

I'm so proud of John. Great fight against a clay specialist on a surface that you don't really like. I wish he earned ranking points for that though
