Re: Clay season 2011. - Belgrade

Ouch... sadly you are right and a new couch can help him. I'm not glad this factor because they like each other.

Better luck in Madrid, John!

And happy birthday.

Never ever give up

Re: Clay season 2011 - Madrid

John beat Fish 7-6, 4-6, 7-6! Great win for John; I did not think he had a very good chance of winning that match. Nice to see him win a 3rd set tiebreak as well. Stakhovsky is next

Re: Clay season 2011 - Madrid

Stakhovsky won 7-5 4-6 7-6(3).

Players he was beating the last couple of years, he is now losing to consistently. Not good.

Re: Clay season 2011 - Rome

John and Sam are in the doubles quarterfinals. They have a fairly open draw so maybe they can make the final and gain some confidence. Good luck!

A clay doubles title! Too easy

The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.

Poor John. If he serves well, he should at least be able to keep it close.

Re: Clay season 2011 - Roland Garros

John made Nadal earn it w/ his serve being off. What is even more, he showed the world he is more than a serve. His net play was fantastic and he didn't retreat just because he got passed at times. His aggression was impressive and hanging from the baseline as well. I truly hope he builds on this, Wimbledon could be every exciting for him.
