Re: John in Indian Wells/Miami

The draw is out and it's about as good you could hope considering he's seeded 30th. Nothing particularly difficult in the second round and he would likely play Roddick in the 3rd round.

Re: John in Indian Wells/Miami

Pretty good draw.
He is 30 seeded, would have been worse. I think Roddick is much better for him than Murray, Ferrer or Berdych. And I say nothing about first four seeded.
Ramirez-Hidalgo or Mello will be easy I hope.
Good luck!!!

Re: John in Indian Wells/Miami

John and Sam won their doubles match last night! 10-8 in the super tiebreak! They will play the Murray brothers next. That sounds like a good match.

Re: John in Indian Wells/Miami

All of the seeded players in John's 1/8th of the draw lost today (Murray, Verdasco, and Garcia-Lopez). This could be such a great opportunity for him to get some confidence back and to get some ranking points. He deserves a little good luck. Now let's just hope he beats Andreev.

John beat Andreev! It took a third set tiebreak, but a win is a win. Glad he finally has an open draw. Good luck John!

Re: John in Indian Wells/Miami

6-2 first set. Only 2 aces so confirms how slow the surface in Miami is.
