If you cant pass to the next level, the challenger tour, which is the least a very good player could do, you are not tailored for professional tennis.
I mean, you can be a very very good tennis player like Goodall, Smethurst, Middelkoop, Arnaboldi or lets say, Capkovic, but if you are forever inside the 250-400 positions of the ranking, its obviously necessary to retire after you are 23 or 24 years old.
Its obvious ATPTOUR isnt increasing tennis prize moneys. ATP only allows that the first 200 players in the world get some money while playing tennis. If you are out of the top 200 and cant win more than 10 challenger matches in the year, you obviously cant play tennis professionaly.
Tennis is a sport for a few. On the other hand you can be a mediocre left back for a russian football team and earn more in a month than the 200th tennis player in the world in aplayer.
Go play football, Goodall.
