^ Well said. Unless people are actually skipping the events (major and all), I doubt that anyone actually *hates* these surfaces.
That said, I strongly dislike clay, and that doesn't stop or start with Nadal. I just don't like the type of tennis that it has historically rewarded. Soderling, and to a lesser extent Ferrero, were greatly refreshing to me for the game they worked on clay.
Still, I'm one for having a balance on tour and keeping from homogenized surfaces, so the bigger offense to me might be a slow hard court like the ones at Indian Wells.
