Re: Tennis Austria

I would pay money to see Muster flatten Gilbert it would be quality.

Hopefully with him as captain that the Austrian players can look to him as guidance and he paved the way, as Austria wasn't known for successful tennis players, but with his achievements Melzer can get some confidence from it.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Tennis Austria

Pavel is still with it. He is Austrian right? Muster I think he will win more Delta titles. I would love to see a Delta event. Too bad none are played here in the US. George why was Muster able to play a lot on clay and not hardcourt after his leg injury? Specifically what was it about the clay that didn't hurt his movement as much as the hardcourts.

Re: Tennis Austria

Pavel is Romanian. Well think about it Muster's leg is shorter than the other one, that places too much pressure on his knees on a harder surface, which later stuffed up his hip and that is why he could only play certain tournaments.

Damn well at least he won Miami. Hey is he really going to play DC? I think he could beat Tim, but he might have to stand closer to the line to take the return earlier. I would love to see him pound Tim. Is this going to be on clay in Austria?

Re: Tennis Austria

Yes, the tie is on clay in Austria and GWH said that he should come out of retirement and play second singles in DC, but he won't.

Re: Tennis Austria

Shit why not??????? This guy is so fucking fit. I saw him with his shirt off in Tennis Life. This guy can do it. Rosset is both captain and player at times so why not Muster?

Re: Tennis Austria

Rosset isn't playing any more ties and neither will Muster. The game has changed too much now and he has been out for too long, so we will not see him on the main tour playing.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Smile Re: Tennis Austria

Rosset can still play doubles and he should especially on clay. Muster I would love to see play. Here are some wonder pics from Muster in 95. Man he sures loves to wear his warm up jacket for trophy presentations. I love the last picture his reaction after finally winning RG.

Dirk, did I miss a joke or an ironic note here?

in case I didn't I just want to tell you that Muster could probably not win anything against a player like Tim or Greg.
Muster got ripped by Becker in straight sets 6-4 6-2 or something like that some weeks ago in an exhibtion. If he can't even keep it close against another retired player, I think there is no chance for him to win against an active player like Henman or Rusedski.

as George said, Muster has been out too long

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Tennis Austria

I mean I am a big Muster fan, and yes he was an absolute prick on the court, one of the biggest, but there is no way he could play, though Rusedski is so bad on clay I think if Muster trained like he did in the old days with about 2 months practice, he could beat Greg.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Dreams are free Dirk, he won Roland Garros and had great fights with the guy on my avatar, but his time has passed.
