Re: Casper Ruud

Christian Ruud was weirdly my absolute favourite player during the 90s. Bit strange for a guy from regional Australia!

Been watching his son's career with interest, would be great if he can continue to improve and make the grade.

Really impressed by his progress so far this year. His forehand is a huge shot.

Re: Casper Ruud

As a Norwegian tennis fan I am very excited about Casper's recent results. These sort of results are extremely rare for Norwegian players, especially on the men's side. It is true that his forehand has become a weapon. I hope he can develop a better serve and improve his backhand in the coming years.

Eikeri has been injured since July, sadly. She tried to play US Open and retired after one set in QR1, hasn't played anything since.

Re: Casper Ruud

Article in VG:

http://www.vg.no/sport/tennis/tror-c...al/a/23385916/

Norwegian tennis president Trym Landa is quoted as thinking Casper can be as good as the big-3. I have to say I doubt that, but at least he's not being too pessimistic.

More interesting - Casper has moved to Alicante and is trained by Pedro Rico, who has previously trained Bautista Agut.

Tough draw. Munar and Donelly are both going to cause him lots of trouble, with Munar being runner up last year. We'll see how he manages
