That is a shame. A player his rank should not loose at home,in the quaters finals
The Israeli crowd ha almost no opportunity to see him play, at a low cost.
What a disaster for the tourney organizers, no Israelis left for singles.

Re: |||| Dudi Sela :: }}
Dudi reached the semifinals of Athens and won last weeks event in Rhodes before losing to Ilhan 3-6 2-6 this week in Israel after defeating Dimitrov in the first round and Lindahl in the second. He got tired after playing back to back weeks and played a good opponent, no shame in the loss, although the fact it is in front of the home fans is sad. The positives are that he has moved his ranking from 72 to 58 with these past good weeks. He is not scheduled to play this upcoming week, and his next tournament listed is Nice, where he is an alternate and may have to play qualifying, and then RG.
Thanks for the clips. Incredible stuff.
Sadly I was at work yesterday and wasn't able to watch this match.Only highlights in the evening.
But I was watching the scoreline. When I saw Dudi leading the first set and told that to a coworker, he was skeptic about the odds Sela could maintain his lead.
I told him that when in form and focus, Sela could win almost any player on a quick court.
Sela has earned in Israel the nickname "the magician" with a good reason, and those clips are the proof of this.
