Sorry haven't posted for a while, saw the GGL match. But losing to the dope dealer Odesnik was unacceptable, I wanted to hatespam his FB but yeah... we're both too nice for things like that of course.
Those were such a great chances to advance against Hajek and Odesnik.
Tough draw vs Kevin Anderson in Washington.

Here's some pics of Zopp warming up at Washington DC before his match with Kevin Anderson. There was like 10 ppl in the stands and I don't really take many pics but I remembered Zopp had a lot of fans on here from what I remembered

Thanks Javier, much appreciated also the report in GM. The loss was expected sadly. 3-6 2-6. But good to hear he was playing well.

Great Job qualifying for your first Master's 1000 Jurgen

Hopefully, he doesn't get a tough draw in the 1R

Possible 1R opponents:

Marcel Granollers
Bernard Tomic
Peter Polansky (this would be ideal)
Julien Benneteau
or another Qualifier (Odesnik, Berrer, Fognini, Cipolla or Stakhovsky/Ebden)

Cipolla, not too bad.

Yeah, not bad and what does he do? 1-6 2-6 to Cipolla. Cipolla should've definitely been a beatable opponent.
Good I didn't bother to stay up & watch.

Uhm, nope he's not injured. On his FB he says WInston-Salem is next, then USO. He needed a break for sure.

Career-high ranking of 75.

He needed a break? From what? He only played two qualifying matches and one main draw match in Toronto...Before that, his last match played was in Bastad!!

Hope he is able to qualify in Wintson-Salem...That sucks that he has to play three qualifying rounds to just get 12 ranking points there

I really hope he can win at least one round at the USO...After making it into the MD at every grand slam this year, it would suck if he cannot get that first MD win at a Slam C'mon Jurgz, step it up

Re: Estonia's Finest (yes better than Kanepi): Jurgen Zopp

Lost at the W-S qualies to Jack Sock in the first rd 4-6, 6-7 (8).
He really needs to step it up. He has been in a slump for a while now after that great spring. Hmmm, I really don't know what it is, did he overplay in the spring, did things go too fast? But as you said, he hasn't played much lately and being a top pro means playing a lot. And like he didn't play a lot at the challengers? Anyway, he better pull himself together for the USO, I wish him all the best!

Plays Istomin in the first round. Pretty tough one and Istomin likes the US hardcourts. Hope he can put in a nice showing...
