Marsel will play Paris qualies. It will be his last tournament for this season. Hope for main draw at least.

Re: Marsel İlhan

Coming off a sickness playing a Frenchman in front of the home crowd, not a terribly surprising result.

I think Marsel is playing the two big indoor challengers in Slovakia and Finland next. Although he has made the AO MD, he defends a lot of points there and will be out of the top 100 again if he loses R1, so he still needs wins to pad the ranking. He hasn't done much with this ATP tour thing, that may cost him down the road as opposed to getting the easy points in challengers.

He defends like 75 or 80 points in Australia. Somewhere in that range. He needs some wins, when you are ranked about 80 and below, every single week is basically a week where your career can be determined if you win or lose. It's funny how things change so quickly. He's #90 now but in two months he'll be right in the position he was before this fall. Hopefully he can get a good performance in one of the big challengers.

Re: Marsel İlhan

I was at the game, there was like 25 ppl watching since the other court had ouanna vs gimeno game, it was like a practice game. marsel looked fit but he played like shit, he lost 8 of every 10 rallys and kept missing While reix found the lines all the time and 6 deuce games on the match he lost 5 of them.
Just at 4-5 down first set he played some good points but missed an easy passing at break point.
Reix has a very good game tho im surprised to see he Wasnt even top 500 till last month.
As for Marsel, he needs to play more challengers instead of losing to nobodys he can grab some points and moral boost.
