I think a young Lithuanian tennis player Laurynas Grigelis (born 14/08/1991) deserved his own thread. He has just won his first Futures title at the Great Britain F13 :worship:.

This year Laurynas made a real breakthrough jumping from 1560 to 600 in the ATP rankings.
His best results:

- Winner at the Great Britain F13
- Semifinal at the Italy F26 and Spain F22
- Quarterfinal at the Spain F21, Great Britain F9, France F18
- 2nd round at the Binghamton Challenger (beat Jerzy Janowicz).

Laurynas lives in Italy and trains at the Future Talent Brusaporto tennis centre in the province Bergamo. His coaches - William Rota and Roberto Manenti.

Here is the Laurynas pics gallery from the final match at the Great Britain F13:

What a fantastic notice to start the day :D, I was looking last years US Open cuts

2010

MD Cut - 103
QD Cut - 277

2009

MD Cut - 108
QD Cut - 316

2008

MD Cut - 109
QD Cut - 296

2007

MD Cut - 104
QD Cut - 292

2006

MD Cut - 107
QD Cut - 275

Laurynas has 144 points right now, he'll lose in 2 weeks 9 points since he did R16 last year in Recanati CH, so that would leave him with 135 points. 300th ranked is now with 149 points, 290th with 159 and 280 with 168. So I think that obtaining 25 more points would be enough. Obviously if he can defeat Kunitsyn it would be incredible, but if not he has 3 more weeks to get them. Next he's listed in Lexington CH Main Draw Entry List, the next one he's 17th alternate in Tampere CH and Recanati CH, and the last before US Open qualies entry list be published Laurynas is the second alternate in Vancouver CH.

Good luck today :yeah:

Amazing win for him. :worship: So, so impressive.

It's Bozoljac in the final. Bozoljac's route through to the final has been much easier yet he has still lost as many sets as Lauryno. If he keeps his form up, it's a huge chance for him to take his first challenger title here.
