Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

He gets a nice amount of points although he still needs to win a few challengers in order not to drop too low in the rankings.

Hopefully(for me) he gets to play vs Roddick some time in the afternoon.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

He has to the end of the year to finish in the top 100 plenty of time.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

I like the match so far - some great points there, but Blaz seriously NEEDS TO WORK on that serve. It's on the WTA level at best

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

Yeah, I agree. Breaks are holds in this match. That serve needs to be the number 1 priority, as he should realize it's not up to snuff with even most claycourters. However, Kavcic has played well so far, and I like his spirit, always into the match.

If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

He knows his serve is shit and that is what is holding him back. Then he misses and gets anxious, which puts him behind in the games.

Striking the ball quite well and the conditions are helping, not sure if Eschauer will be able to help him with this.

BTW not sure anyone has noticed but Blaz's site now also has the English translation/version. Judging by the writing style he's partly moderating the site by himself

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

You've got to love the Queen's draw

Blaz's first round opponent is Marcos Daniel and if he wins he's playing his idol - Rafael Nadal.

Blaž tweeted that it looks like he's made it into the MD at Wimbledon, but he'll get confirmation later today.

Big choke from Blaz leading 4-2 0-40 in the 3rd set and lost the set 6-4.

Hope he can back on track.

According to his twitter he is having major shoulder issues this week, so he's been playing taking a lot of painkillers to try and ease the pain.
