Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

A decent draw. Second round would be a great achievement. Can't really look past it, though, unless Ferrer slips up somehow.

If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards.

Blaz has lost the last 2 matches, but he is ranked 132, hope he can qualify for the US Open.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

Blaz drew huge serving Aussie Sam Groth in the 1st round of the US Open qualies.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

He won! 3-6 6-3 6-4. Although, Groth has been in bad form recently. Next up: Kyu Tae Im

Well done, Blaž!
Good luck against Im! Don't think this will be easy match.

Blaž Kavčič - Grega Žemlja - Aljaž Bedene - Luka Gregorc - Janez Semrajc - Andraž Bedene

Nieminen - Verdasco - Blake - Nadal - The Bryans

Blaz defeated Im 7-5 7-6(3). Next he plays Michael Berrer for a place in the main draw.

Re: Blaz Kavcic Thread

Make Berrer hit smashes, as he can't get off the ground.

How's Berrer's form? He's no longer top 100, so maybe this is a good chance to qualify. Lob

You got some nice pics there, Snoo.

Blaz's first-round opponent in Ljubljana is Enrico Burzi.

Blaz is back on the winners circle where he defeated Demoliner and Zabaleta, he will play Machi Gonz in the QF.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
