Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

Blaz had to retire from Banja Luka with back problems, just hope it's not too serious.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

Disappointed to hear that he retired. He did well to get his ranking up so it's a shame he isn't able to build on that.

Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

Blaž's back still is in poor shape. He tried to get on court but wasn't ready so it'll be another 2 weeks before he can try again.

I hope he's back in action soon as his ranking has started to drop. It would be good if he can remain high enough to get direct entry into the Australian Open.

Blaz should be back hitting this week. Doing the smart thing playing the South American events.

Has he bought a hacienda there already? It's like he knows where he belongs to.

I can't take Kavcic seriously anymore. OK, winning a few rounds at these weak tournaments is going to ensure a MD spot at the AO, but playing these endless clay events in SA time and time again is surely not gonna help him on the long run. How does he expect to improve his game, his serve, his game outside of clay etc., if all he needs to do to stay in the top 100 is beating a couple of random Sousas and Silvas who're already overranked as it is.

I take your point but he has had a lot of injury problems this summer so the smart thing to do is get his season back on track and consolidate his ranking. If everything goes well then I agree he should start improving his hard court game.

Practical reasons to play there why play indoors coming off an injury where he is going to struggle to win consecutive matches and not make the AO direct is what he should be doing.

You make it like he has never won a match on hardcourts as for his serve that is what training for and the off tournament weeks to really work on that, plus the preseason.

Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

Ljubo trolling Blaz getting done for speeding was funny.

Blaz

Well done police... It is easy to get me at 8.00am when I am still to blind to see how fast I am driving...)

Ljubo

How can you go too fast with that car?!? :-). (missed writing before)

Blaz

It was downhill Ljubo...

Ljubo

Aaahhh. Then I understand. Can't see it on the photo but I trust you :-)
