Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

jmf, you are a cool cat therefore welcome along.

Blaž lost a tough 3 setter 6-2 6-7 6-3 but the break point conversion in the 3rd set of 0/10 is so frustrating. Time to fly back to Ljubljana for the Davis Cup tie on clay now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

Blaž's birthday hope the guys can win the doubles and give him a nice present.

I follow him on twitter but I didn't realize he had a thread here.

Nice to see him at a career high ranking, and apparently he won his first match in Sarajevo vs Brkic 6-4 7-6(3).

I support a lot of mugs.

Blaz just made into Miami, his first ever TMS event.

Blaz lost a tough one to Oli Rochus, handled it like a man.

From the man himself.

"He played some unbelievable passing shots in the and and he deserve to win. All the best in next round Oli. Day off and than clay season..."

6-1 5-2 up against the Fog and loses, well this will be a learning experience.

Hopefully it doesn't put a big dent in his confidence and he can bounce back in his next match.

Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

Blaž took down Kamke again 7-6(0) 6-1. He served for it at *5-4 but failed to so.

The tiebreaker he was just defending very well and pressing Kamke into error, once he got the 1st set. He moved into the court and was playing better.

He's playing Madrid, yes.

Yesterday's match was dire but as long as he's winning we shouldn't be complaining, I guess. Can Isner play on clay?

Re: Blaž Kavčič Thread

Isner isn't too bad on clay, just a question of Blaz making sure he takes care of his own serve. Not going to get many chances against Isner.

Good to see him win against Kamke again. Mello upset Isner so Blaz will start the favourite in his second round match.
