Magic (fabulous, pure talent...) JRL - Jean René Lisnard thread

So far, as for freemasons, being a Lisnardaire had to be a secret. Rules are made to be broken. This is why this thread is gonna be created. Let's share our passion for the great guy !

Jean René is born in 1979 in Cannes, France and became a Monegasque few years ago.
Rumors says he was in a list along with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Greg Rusedski, Yuri Schukin and Alexandros-Ferdinandos Georgoudas.
The Prince Albert II chose him to represent Monaco and never regretted it.

As you know, he accumulates wins over many GOATs (this includes ex-GOATs, future GOATs, wannabe-GOATs etc...):

- Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan (Beat them both.... alone, you can check)
- Davide Sanguinetti
- Alberto Berasategui
- James Blake
- Paul Henri Mathieu
- Justin Gimelstob
- Vladimir Voltchkov
- Gustavo Marcaccio
- Robin Soderling
- Lars Burgsmuller
- Marcelo Rios
- Rainer Schuettler
- Richard Gasquet
- Martin Verkerk
- Gaston Gaudio (with a bagel, on clay in 2003)
- Stanislas Wawrinka (in Gstaad)
- Magnus Norman
- Tomas Berdych
- Misha Zverev (on Clay !!!!!!!! )
- Julian Knowle and Jurgen Melzer (once again he did not need a partner)
- Sebastien Grosjean
- Thomas Johansson
- Oscar Hernandez (at Wimbledon )
- Gilles Simon
- Paradorn Srichaphan
- Andy Murray
- Nicolas Coutelot
- Nikolay Davydenko
- Donald Young....

And many more to come....

I somehow missed his win against Davydenko. I will add it as well as the one against Young.

Re: Magic (fabulous, pure talent...) JRL - Jean René Lisnard thread

Know ho used to be a Lisnard admirer some time ago?

derossi

He was supporting him at every tournament in 2008, writing stuff like he used to write about Saretta

I'm not entering the Fúria community anymore so I don't know if he's still doing it.

you should've made the poll public, so it reveals c. rochus' MTF account when he votes.

Re: Magic (fabulous, pure talent...) JRL - Jean René Lisnard thread

Another career highlight i forgot:
He beats Konstantinos Economidis(171,0.40) (GRE) 2-6 4-6 7-6(4) 6-0 6-0 last year in Davis cup.

Career DC record: 7W/2L
One of his two losses was by retirement against Ernest Gulbis, so it does not really count.
Lisnard, greatest DC player of all time ?
