Re: Magic (fabulous, pure talent...) JRL - Jean René Lisnard thread

I came across this audio interview of JR:
Jean-René Lisnard : « J’ai tout donné » (I gave everything)
http://www.sudouest.com/ajax/accueil...11208_371.html
He's a bit disappointed because he was playing very well and feels like he could have beaten a lot of guys in Bordeaux. On the other hand, he is quite exhausted and it won't harm to spend a couple of days at home on the Côte d'Azur to come back fresh as a daisy for the RG qualies. He sounds confident for Roland and the rest of the season, there is no limit rankingwise if he keeps playing with the same frame of mind.

Re: Magic (fabulous, pure talent...) JRL - Jean René Lisnard thread

Thanks Fran.

Sounds like he is ready for a great run at RG, as expected. Nadal & co better watch out.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: Magic (fabulous, pure talent...) JRL - Jean René Lisnard thread

Yeah, I think great things await the Lisnardaires this year!
Seriously, I'm scared JR might be in Mathieu's part of the qualies draw, he owns him.

Another nice find of soulage, some pics of JR in Bordeaux last year from the website http://www.huruguen.eu/:

He was wearing the same outfit as Noah when he won RG in 1983.

Re: Magic (fabulous, pure talent...) JRL - Jean René Lisnard thread

Click this link and tell me if this guy doesn't look like Lisnard

http://www2.uol.com.br/tenisbrasil/d...t138u40549.htm

He is Carlos Oliveira and won the Brasil F2 title today. He looks like Lisnard, so he must have a good story. He is 32 and gave up from trying to be a professional player long time ago. Last year he returned to the futures and today he won his first title.

For me he is a mix of Lisnard and Oscar Hernandez.

To be honest I looked again and h really doesn't. It's just that last year I watched him playing and he was bald, so he really looked like Lisnard for me. Now I think he looks like Hernandez.

Yes very easy indeed. Then Gregorc ( he beat him very easily two weeks ago) or Norman who should have chosen the wheelchair event (H2h 3/0 Norman once 61 61 64 in RG) .
Final round against Pashanski, Ouahab, or Mahut.
