Louk won! He beat Guillermo Duran 6-4 3-6 6-1. Great win in his first match back from injury. He plays Sebastian Lopez tomorrow in the 2nd rd of qualies

Re: Irish Tennis

Louk got through the rest of the qualies very convincingly dropping only 7 games in 2 matches and now plays Dutra Da Silva in the 1st round. Great to see him winning matches again and just hope the back holds up and he can play the season without much pain.

Re: Irish Tennis

Good to see Louk get some wins under his belt.

DC match tomorrow. Gonna be a tight one depending on which Gilles Muller turns up.

Re: Irish Tennis

Thanks man.

Doubles is gonna be huge. You never know with Muller but he'd capable of winning the tie on his own

Re: Irish Tennis

Haha about the atmosphere with the Irish schoolboys singing... what a cauldron..

Yeah, doubles will be massive tomorrow, if they can pull it off, Niland will go in with huge confidence against Muller but will have to serve better as he won't get many chances to break Gilles.

Re: Irish Tennis

I think Luxembourg won the doubles, so Niland must beat Muller in the fourth rubber tomorrow.

Re: Irish Tennis

Luxembourg won 7/6 7/6 6/4

Irish guys played 2 sloppy breakers. Couldn't buy a first serve in either.

Bram, who is unranked, was very impressive for Lux. Was rock solid throughout. I'll type up a report shortly
