Re: soderling

Already found it.. Since Vinci won his match against Ginepri (Congrats Vinvi ) a win against Querrey would mean that Robin wouldn't have to play the doubles

Soda 6-2 6-2 Querrey

See? You basically only have to cheer fopr Soderling on the right tournaments, this year has been Sunrise and Dusseldorf ahha.
Well, I expect him to rest tomorrow and then to crush the Germans thursday (very hard match) to put Sweden in another final.

I have wondered this for years, you shouldn´t be surprised if he loose in the first run of RG against an top 80 player He have done this for years, making an good result before big tournaments and the fail in the first round. Hopefully i´m wrong!

Go Robin, 6-0 6-0 is nice

I can only agree I remember last year when he was on fire in Düsseldorf as well, and then he lost I think 1st round in Paris against Juan Monaco and played like he never had a tennis racket in his hand before...
Let´s hope he will prove us wrong this year

Tommy Robredo David Ferrer Pere Riba Fernando Verdasco

Pico Monaco ~ Edu Schwank ~ Stan Wawrinka ~ Dani Gimeno ~ David Marrero ~ Marc Lopez ~ Marco Chiudinelli ~ Marcel Granollers

I miss you on tour, Nors, Bjösse, Simon & Pim Pim

Re: soderling

WTC is great for Robin because he can have his coach present. Hopefully he can get some confidence and finally do a good result at a big tournament. But as you said, I wouldn't be surprised if he lost in the first round against a nobody

Re: soderling

Sodeerling will reach at least R32 at RG with a good draw!
Which isn´t bad, but I would be happy with a R16 at least.

Re: soderling

I mentioned the other day that I love waking up to good tennis news - this might just be the best I've ever woken up to!

From Dusseldorf website...
Germany has suffered a bad setback in the battle to make it to the final of the ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP 2009. Germany’s No. 1 lost the duel against the Swedish top player Robin Soderling 0-6, 0-6. With comparison to Rainer Schuettler’s strong performance against Gilles Simon on Tuesday, the “shaker” seems completely different. He didn’t find his rhythm and seemed completely lost in the match against Soderling who is better ranked by four places. As intended, Soderling mainly made the points with his forehand and won his seventh singles match in a row at the Rochusclub, sending his opponent off the court without even capturing a single game. Only once before in the history of the ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP did a player lose without winning a single game. In 1987, the German, Damir Keretic beat the Australian player Paul McNamee 6-0, 6-0. Dusseldorf (pps)

Simon Aspelin | Jonas Bjorkman | Thomas Enqvist | Thomas Johansson | Magnus Norman | Robin Soderling

Your memory is not totally accurate. He crushed Monaco in the 1st round and then Capdeville in the 2nd. He took the first set against Benneteau in the 3rd round 6-1, had a couple of setpoints in the second set, but went on to lose it in a tiebreaker, completely lost his head, and then only took one game in the last two sets. All in all - Toad in a nutshell.

Re: soderling

Well, I believe this eyar will be different. Söderling lost a very difficult match between Sweden and Germany, he is palying very well, hope this loss don´t take the fire out of him.
