Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

Yeah, this is a tough match for RObin, Almagro is a host player and sure the spectator will support him, moreover Almagro is playing well at clay But i think Robin can do well, good luck Robin

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

robin really not playing to great

on his opening service game he fell to 0-40 and had to fight off a break at deuce before holding.

second service game was a little more comfortable

fell to 0-40 again on his 3rd service game and got broken

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

robin gave up the break to go down 2-3 but got it right back

tied 3-3

robin is not playing great, then again neither is almagro so this is anyone's game.

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

robin saves 3 break points again to prevent giving the break right back

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

robin is broken and trails 4-5, he'll have to break to stay in the set

almagro goes 40-0 up but robin gets it to 40-30...before losing the 1st set.

robin down 4-6

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

robin off to a fast start in the 2nd up 3-1 over almagro but faces a break point here

almagro breaks and robin leads 3-2, almagro to serve

...i really dont know what to say here robin went from up 3-0 to tied 3-3 in the 2nd set

i guess the only way to put it is that robin is being outplayed

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

robin has stepped up a bit
currently 4-6, 5-5

he's fallen into an 0-30 hole on serve

worst possible time for a double fault from robin, he's down 0-40 on serve for the 3rd time this game! he saved the break from this point once can he do it again?

saves the first with ace # 4

almagro breaks on the 2nd though

almagro will now serve for the match

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

robin loses 4-6, 5-7 with almagro winning the final game 40-0

robin went from 3-0 up in the 2nd set to losing 6 of the next 8 games.

the sad thing is i knew this was coming, i had this feeling robin would lose and i had a feeling he would start to struggle.

anyone else think maybe that robin's confidence is maybe wavering, he has made early exits in his last 2 tournaments now and maybe he's starting to think about having to defend all those roland garros points

Re: In what shape is Soderking? – Madrid – Live Scoring

As an answer to the title (of what I get from the result): A bad shape. I really hope he can improve until Roland Garros, or he will lose many ranking points.

Thank misty1 for posting live score. It's so sad about this loss
From ROme to Madrid, Robin both played so bad
