5 PR gives a cut under #100 Tursunov said he wants to come back for Wimbledon, strange he enters RG I wouldn't be surprised if he withdraws.

Re: Roland Garros Entry List (updated April 15, 2010)

i'm guessing mario is expecting/already has wrapped up a wimbledon wc cause there is no way he would otherwise choose to use his pr on rg over wimby

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world

Re: Roland Garros Entry List (updated April 15, 2010)

Great to see atleast three aussies in the draw this year with Hewitt, Luczak and the wildcard hoping it goes to Lindahl or Ball both in not bad form. Also we have just under 10 aussies in the qualies so that might give us some chance to get a few here in Roland Garros.

Re: Roland Garros Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 29, 2010)

If a player uses his PR to enter an event and withdraws after the draw was made (but before the start of the tournament), does it count as one of the tournaments played with his PR?

I'm not sure but I remember earlier this year Robin Haase had used his PR to get entry into a challenger. The week before the event he got sick and he withdrew from the event as a precaution because he didn't want to waste a PR if he wasn't able to play. But I'm not sure how it actually works

Nishikori did it a lot lately. I'm not sure how much tournaments left for him to get into them with his PR.

What about women? I can't find any info on rolandgarros.com about this. They say the draws will be displayed just before the tournament... pity. I'm eager to see Ferrero play but may 23rd is sooo far away

Re: Roland Garros Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 29, 2010)

Will Gaudio ask for a wild-card again ?

I had read that his goal was to get a direct entry but he's really had terrible results since te beginning of the year then he missed it by far

at least what I know is that he gets a zero-pointer in his ranking for this tournament, as it already happened to Moya this year.

Having an operation on his wrist. According to reports the rest of his season is in doubt.

Also, isn't Odesnik ruled out of RG because of the voluntary provisional suspension that he took with the ITF?

From the ITF Press Release:
Odesnik accepts provisional suspension

The International Tennis Federation announced today that, from Friday, 16 April, Wayne Odesnik (USA) has accepted a voluntary provisional suspension from all events covered under the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme, including Grand Slam tournaments, ATP-sanctioned events and ITF-sanctioned tournaments.

In accordance with normal policy, the ITF does not intend to make further comment on this matter until its resolution.

The Tennis Anti-Doping Programme is a comprehensive and internationally recognised drug-testing programme that applies to all players competing at tournaments sanctioned by the ITF, ATP and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. Players are tested for substances prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency and upon a finding that a Doping Offence has been committed, sanctions are imposed in accordance with the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code. More background information on the Programme, sanctions, tennis statistics and related information can be found at www.itftennis.com/antidoping.
