So is it officall that Tomic and Bolleli got wild cards ?
If they are, Im glad, casue someone said that davydenko would maybe play so I expected that they will save a WC for him.

Can't Grisho receive a WC?

Grigor Dimitrov | Rafael Nadal | Juan Martin del Potro | Andy Murray

Re: Monte-Carlo Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 9, 2010)

Tomic getting one would be interesting...let's face it, the chances are high that he will be a top player (top 100) within the next couple of years, so I don't think it is a bad thing to give him a chance. Besides, there are certainly one or two players in the draw that he might fancy his chances against.

As for Bolelli...not a worthwhile decision to reward him imo. He didn't perform particularly well at ATP level even when he was a top 50 player, and most are aware of his current situation now...he hasn't even performed well on the challenger circuit. Sure, there are a few players he could beat (e.g. Becker), but there are high chances that the draw won't work out in his favour.

In which case, if it comes down to a simple head-to-head with Tomic and Bolelli, I'd give a WC to the Aussie...future star in the making, and surely more marketable. If I recall correctly, Bolelli has moved to Monte Carlo (and most probably trains there), but that is a weak fact on which to base an application for a WC imo.

EDIT - it seems that Bolelli did get a WC. Eh well...

You have to consider there is large Italian crowd in MonteCarlo. Strace was better choice though...

Tomic lost easy to Lorenzi in clay challenger: I think he can beat only Bolelli...

there was no more withdrawal before the draw then Starace cannot get in : now it would be a lucky loser.

Starace would have been better than Bolelli

useless old guy

You can say this about tons of other players. I think it's patethic, Tomic lost to Aldi last week, he just isn't up for the big boys yet, especially not on clay.

Bolelli is even worse, I agree.

BTW, the goddamn luck Tomic always gets in ATP-draws, now he draws Becker
