Re: 2012 Schedule and Cheering Thread: AO Check First Post Please
The good thing about the match against Kohlschreiber is that now i willl see the match on german TV. The match against Lu was only for a few moments.
I think he will win against Kohlschreiber because his the better player.
Vamos Delpo
I also think this should not be a livescore thread ( sorry Mae- know you mean well) as one can easily view the livescore elsewhere so the info isn't unavailable. However if anyone thinks otherwise please speak your mind!
Re: 2012 Schedule and Cheering Thread: AO Check First Post Please
Here! Couldn't follow the match, so (not knowing the result) I went to the official livescore thread to read it back and all I found was 50 pages on Dolgo-Tomic.
Re: 2012 Schedule and Cheering Thread: AO Check First Post Please
Maybe we can do a compromise. How about someone post the score after each set is done? Then the final result. That would keep the thread from getting too clogged up. Maybe whoever posts the set score can also post set highlights if they want to. Sound reasonable Ms. Mod?
I only saw that last set, but wow! Impressive. The night matches are better for him. Oh yeah, next round, I think I saw that one in Miami last year.
Re: 2012 Schedule and Cheering Thread: AO Check First Post Please
I saw the whole thing and he played very well, but Kohli just made too many errors. We'll see how he does against Fed. I'm just glad he didn't spend too much time out in the heat for this match. Hmmm, wonder if Fed will be a night match?
Re: 2012 Schedule and Cheering Thread: AO Check First Post Please
Those fans who believe he will ever reach another slam final are living in a pink dream world. Juan's movement is out of the top 30 to say the least, his forehand sucks big time. Terrible mental strength at service games.....he is much worse than I expected him to be in this year. We can say he will be lucky with a win here and there. Even a 40 year old Federer would beat him. Oh well, tennis sucks, always the same 3 guys.
Re: 2012 Schedule and Cheering Thread: AO Check First Post Please
Well, for me Delpo didn't suck on this tournament, I mean this surface is never his best. He needs it to be slower or faster, not this. And I think since his comeback last year, Franco may have advised him to stay back before he gets his big ground strokes back and that's how he played most of the matches, in a defensive style. I saw 4 matches of him in this Open and I think his ground strokes are coming back, he's been more aggressive than last year and fear less to take advantage of short balls. And this match against Federer is the most aggressive match I've seen since his comeback last year. So he's regaining his shots, but mentally he's still not there, that's why he can't take chances of the break points and serve a df on set point.
But to me this is all becuz he hasn't played too many big matches last year, the 4 grand slams he played, he didn't play it that well, no big scenario. And this is his first QF in a Grand Slam since his comeback, this is huge, and he's nervous. But he is regaining his form, remember the 2009 QF? The same guy across the net, and he was in great form in 2009, and he only took 3 games outta Federer. This year, he's not in the same form (well Federer isn't neither), and he took 9 (well...), this says he is coming back step after step. So I'm looking forward to the rest of his years, after his ranking's rise, he shouldn't face some big players in the 1st few rounds so this gives him a chance to play himself deep into every single tournament.
Well but no matter what happened we still love him, that's the most important part.

Check the first post please. I will try and keep up but I lead a pretty busy life so won't always have an opportunity to do so. If you need to update the first post/title contact Carlita who can do it for you or even myself but no guarantees that I will see as soon as you post. Thanks

In addition- feel free everyone to start your own cheering thread for tournaments as I won't be around much to keep things updated. I will certainly try and merge any threads at some point. Enjoy cheering for JM.

He can be very good in Rotterdam. Courts are good for his serve, if it works.
