But the way things are going at the moment, he is unlikely to hit that sort of form within the next couple of months to be able to repeat such results on his least favourite surface. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have always considered Blake to be a 'confidence' player, and whilst he might not be playing badly at present (haven't seen enough of him to judge), he isn't getting used to that winning feeling.
He knows as well as we all do that his most significant points will fall off within the next 4 months (Estoril and Queen's Club), and that could put him just about outside the top 100.
If he were to stay on in the USA and play some hard court challengers he might be able to cushion his ranking and be ready to push forwards
from the beginning of the grass court season, rather than need to make up a large amount of lost ground (if he chooses to play European clay and falls flat on his face).
