It's not a pear it's a typical mexican fruit called "Guaje" in México
(in other countries might be known under different names but never "pear", It's a plant from the same family than Zuchinni and Pumpkin).
Guaje is one of the first plants ever cultivated by the mankind. There are evidences of the ancient mexicans harvesting that plant 9 thousand years ago. So it has a deep historical/cultural meaning.
Besides the craftmanship is extremely good. It's made in pure silver by mexican craftsmen.
Although I did already post the link to the HIGH RESOLUTION photo gallery from "el Abierto Mexicano de Tenis". I'll post it again considering that maybe some of you didn't see the other thread (Rafa in Acapulco)
I'll post the link to the gallery, pick on any day in particular and then you will see many pictures from many different players (including Rafa, of course). Saturday's Gallery (sábado 26) has 10 high res. pics of Rafael.
Of Course I can't upload the pics here because the size of each one is about 2 MB. But worth the effort to wait a couple of minutes to download them all. The quality is superb!
Still working on getting it right!
Can't believe that I have been a Men's Tennis fan for "centuries" and just discovered this site!
I hope he can get a WC to Indian Wells and we will be able to give him a farewell in person!
