Siegemug wins Stuttgart.

Mladenovic will never win a title if she keeps mugging in these finals.

That epic game she played against Venus in Charleston may have been the confidence she needed. I don't claim to know much about her, but from what I heard, she was always talented but inconsistent

Re: Wtaw (Gen. WTA Discussion) [Volume IV]

3 of the biggest titles on tour outside of the slams have come and gone and they've been won by vesnina, konta and siegmund..not sure what to say to that

if they were won by up and coming youngsters that would be great but they've been won by journeywoman and vesnina has struggled to win matches since her big win. credit to konta though. she's done well this year and backed up her earlier win. i cant be to bad about her even if she did take out caroline on the way

Siegemund is actually quite fun to watch. Really unique style of play and lots of drop shots. And of course plenty of antics and drama She's definitely a clay court specialist, though.

Great final, so relieved we didn't get to see and especially hear that Russian doper.

I guess it's a good time to be a WTA player right now. Anyone can win anything.

Really though, a brilliant tournament for Laura, she can play great clay tennis and challenge anyone on the right day.

Re: Wtaw (Gen. WTA Discussion) [Volume IV]

Hilarious drama. With the point penalty when she served for the match. Alves had the right to apply time violation but if Laura was over the limit 91% of the time, you wonder why she couldn't have enforced the rule earlier, or gave further prompts. Original warning was in the first set. Kiki got some momentum after that and was awfully close *1-4 up in TB but I have not seen more clutch pts ensuing. Siegemund practically nailed at the pts at net.
