It's been some painful years for Nadal enthusiasts since the last time Mr. Parera's tooth got in touch with a grand slam title.
While Rafael's odonthologist is enjoying a lovely extended vacation, there have been shades of peakdal here and there filling the heart of Nadal's fans with hope and delight, though until now, it was just a doctor's visit to the clay gardens of Eden.
The first time Nadal was back, he destroyed the clay beast Juan Monaco for the Buenos Aires trophy, only to fade away in Indian Wells to Mr. Robot himself after having match points at his disposal.
We though he was back again in Miami after trashing the talented shotmaker and mental strenght extraordinaire Nicolas Almagro, but sadly, he faced next round a force of nature personified in Mr. Verdasco.
Weeks later in Madrid, Nadal was back, sent packing some respectable and in-form clay residents, like Mr. Berdych and Mr. Dimitrov, but Parera was not back anymore, falling in the final, but no shame in that, since the man on the other side of the net was no other than the winner of 10 honorable Roland Garros trophies, Mr. Andrew Murray.
Nadal was of course back in his favourite surface
after defeating the Serbian Lord Troickimort in Stuttgart, but in Queens there was a dog who buried GOATdal's dreams like a bone.
All this back-not-back rollercoaster continued until today, where after "GOATdal was finally back (and this time I swear it's for real)", a very subpar Nolemort sent both Quique Flores of tennis and his pupil Rafael Nadal Parera packing to Miami, scaling of course in the land of back to reality.
Since even a broken clock is right twice a day, one day Rafael Nadal Parera will be back for good, so this thread serves the purpose of welcoming back everytime there's even a remote possibility of such a solemn event.
