It's not bullshit. I don't think men have to look like supermodels to be attractive, what a ridiculous statement. But Andy is tall, has a great physique and a nice face. In my book, that's an amazing combo.
My point is that really hot guys like Haas, Fognini, etc. are not what the average person is looking for. If you saw Andy in a bar, you would think he was attractive. I think a lot of the tennis guys are way above average, so Andy does not shine in comparison, but he is nice looking. And he's sound.
I think you need to re-read your comment and realise how contradicting you are acting towards yourself. To say 90% of people would be "chomping at the bit" to get near
Andy in a pub is bullshit... that is not
up for debate. Like I said, walk into any bar in England and there will be plenty of far
better looking people than Murray. As following the example you
were giving (if Murray was not 'Murray') he would still be walking around with that embarrassing attempt at an Afro and his usual gormless toothy grimace, (and would obviously not have the physique of a world-class athlete!) Going on looks alone
, to refer to him as 'amazing' is just deluded. Case closed.
Nobody is denying that Andy comes across as a nice person and is obviously a very talented tennis player. But you are completely missing the point I'm making... Murray is clearly not a vain person and holds little importance over his attractiveness. This is a good thing! His looks are irrelevant to his success as a tennis player and should not factor into anyones opinion of him as an athlete. But
like I said, I think it is sad that some
of his fans have to fabricate this imaginary sex-god appeal around him just so they can call themselves a fan. It's pathetic, and actually quite insulting to Murray himself.
Now lets hope Andy can back to actually winning some tennis matches,
so we can move on to less pointless discussions.
