Yep, that's it.

Djokovic doesn't have nearly as many of these as Rafael Nadal, whom Djokovic calls "a ball of nervous tics and superstitious rituals."
Not a nice thing to say about an OCD sufferer. Needs a new thread. And Rafa needs to swear back at Nole's water bottles. VAMOS!

Gluten intolerance is defined as celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, or gluten allergy (yes, there are people with an allergic response, similar to others with other allergies). There isn't even a definitive test for non-celiac gluten sensitivity. They haven't come out with one. For celiac disease, there are tests, including the "gold standard" endoscopic biopsy. I don't doubt that he has NCGS, his response to the dietary changes is proof enough. I have no idea what testing he went through, maybe he goes into it in the book. I work in a medical lab and I had no idea what testing I needed before I researched it, my doctors didn't even know.

Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far you can go.

It would be nice if Djokovic could advance to a full Vegan diet. Vegan diets work perfectly for Triathletes, and other endurance athletes. I dream of the day when there is a Vegan number 1.

Bumping as the book is released today and I'd be interested to hear reviews of it from MTFers.

I don't know. I think Nole should be 'writing' books when he retires. too much distraction. He should be focusing on tennis right now. I could be wrong, but that's just my 5 cents.

Re: Djokovic to release a nutrition book about his gluten free diet

Page 11, he is already talking about how Roddick made fun of him with SARS, bird flu, anthrax etc. And Roger's 2006 comments saying he thought Nole's injuries were a joke

Describes his low as vomiting early in the 4th set vs. Tsonga in 2010 AO and losing badly the last 2 sets.

I very much enjoyed his chapter on growing up under bombs in Serbia.

Re: Djokovic to release a nutrition book about his gluten free diet

His "off day" regime and diet on page 32 is interesting, as well as his revelation that he allowed himself one tiny square of chocolate after that 6 hour epic in Australia vs. Nadal in 2012. "That was all I would allow myself". Strict diet, indeed.
