Not sure about this. With Sharapova's serve the one-eyed hobo living at the end of my street could get a few points.

Re: Maria Sharapova defeats Australia Junior Boy's Champion

Funny how this burro OP missed out the really damning comment she said regarding her male practice partners: 'It was nice to be able to have different types of game styles' - pretty much admitting the WTA has one game style- ballbash, ballbash, ballbash (with a load of choking and shit serving thrown in)

Ridiculous they get paid the same. I know of a college player (not a great one) beating Sharapova in best three of five in straights, and witnessed a division three player defeat someone who had once beaten the current world #1

Maybe, but I could still take a game off a lot of WTA players by just standing there doing nothing and watch them DF games away

Sharapova is really hunting for fresh, young meat these days on the ATP tour. Seems like Grigor was a bit too old for her taste.

Re: Maria Sharapova defeats Australia Junior Boy's Champion

Its obvious the insecurity is going round.

It's just too bad that Sharapova makes x100000 all of you guys combined, plus all of the number 20-50 ranked atp players combined

Federer. Vika. Hingis.
Venus.

Still it's most likely the other way round ie the kid let her win in hope of getting some afterwards

Re: Maria Sharapova defeats Australia Junior Boy's Champion

This wasn't a "Battle of the Sexes" match. It was a couple of juniors serving as hitting partners to the #2 seed in the women's event. I've no idea how good these kids are but even if they were capable of blasting Maria Sharapova off the court, they still wouldn't do it. It wasn't what they were there for. Their job was to help her prepare for the Australian Open.
