Re: Maria Sharapova defeats Australia Junior Boy's Champion

I think that we can't compare ATP and WTA tennis. They are very different, so I prefer to enjoy both. The are almost the same rules, of course that ATP players are from far better than WTA players if we put them on a same match. In this topic I think that there is no debate to do.

About the war of ATP vs Williams, I recommend to read this article (it's in spanish, so use a translator). It contains the opinion of Ferrer, Toni Nadal, Carlos Moya, Galo Blanco (Milos Raonic coach), etc. http://www.puntodebreak.com/2012/10/...-100-masculino The key problem that they enfasize is the mobility on court more than just the serve or the power.

Yes, the difference in darts has measured as been greater than in weight lifting (!!) which sounds absurd. I have no rational explanation for this. Fewer women darts players? Sure, but there are fewer women a lot of places and the best of them are at least closer to the men than they are in darts. Really strange, that one.

Re: Maria Sharapova defeats Australia Junior Boy's Champion

It's obvious that WTA = BDO, ATP = PDC

In light of that, I'd like some of the WTA Tards to give me the name of an ATP player that any of the top 3 WTA players could:

i) beat
ii) even break their serve

I'm not saying that the entire top 1000 would double bagel Masha or Serena..................but just give me a name.

Were you watching the Lakeside World Championships too? the women's final was atrocious. There was this time the unseeded woman that reached the final made only a 15....

Everyone knows the reason but you're not allowed to say. In fact, the reason the WTA exists (let alone equal prize money ) is because there are certain things you're not allowed to say...

yeah, but tbh I really can't take the BDO too seriously anymore. You have the PDC championships only 1 week before the lakeside, and the difference in level is enormous. Almost like it's amateurs at the BDO. I really don't get why women only play best of 3 sets either btw.. that doesn't make any sense.

Re: Maria Sharapova defeats Australia Junior Boy's Champion

This discussion has evolved a long way from Sharapova's ability to beat boys fresh out of kindergarten.

About the darts and bridge thing, I'm certain Men and Women are generally equal by nature when it comes to ability in these sorts of games. The problem is the stats will be skewed in favour of men since there are far more professional male players than professional females. In fact, there are numerous countries around the world where no women play these games/sports professionally.

I really enjoy watching darts but eurosport only shows it once a year and it is the lakeside tourney. Do you have any links to the PDC Championships so I can see the difference?

Yesterday the semis between O'Shea and Harms were pretty entertaining though and they did score a lot of 140's and 180's.
