That would be Nadal if you ask me. Just as sure as Barba is the Bolt of Rugby League.

The "whole package" that is Usain, I guess. I've heard it used in other sports that I follow when the Olympics come around "this guy is like the Usain Bolt of our sport..."

Sure, Bolt is - after all - mainly known for still standing tough when his opponents are utterly exhausted

If Monfils was good, he would be.

Who in tennis openly claimed 'I am a living legend'?

Whosoever came closest to this honest arrogance in tennis is the equivalent, no doubt.

“When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.”

Re: Who is the Usain Bolt of tennis?

Nadal on clay comes closest I guess

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Re: Who is the Usain Bolt of tennis?

Physically, Nadal - but how good would Bolt be if he were to run sideways instead of a straight line?

Maybe the better comparison is in terms of mental strength, and resilience. In terms of mental strength, Nadal has a shot. In terms of resilience over time - given the limit in the prime age of a hundred meter athlete, Bolt's back-to-back gold is comparable to Roger's resurgence to #1 when no one expected that.

In terms of speed? Murray. In terms of GOATness, Federer.
