Re: The FedPotro Thread

Well, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of this combo/shipping, but still great thread I guess it's alright as long as you don't try to ship Juan with Murray

These two are scheduled to play an exho in Buenos Aires in December if I'm not mistaken, that should be good.

Love this thread, I like Delpo a lot, he is a great guy, Rog and him seems to have a good relationship..like friends.

Re: The FedPotro Thread

Not generally a fan of Federer, but I can handle him in and FedPotro friendship situation. Can hardly call it a rivalry given what has happened when they have played each other since the start of last year.

Juan Martin Del Potro

David Ferrer - Tommy Haas - Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

Andy Roddick - Juan Carlos Ferrero - Mardy Fish

It's unbelievable Del Potro still likes him this much, Federer already has brought so much pain upon him.

I remember in one interview(maybe around Olympics) Delpo say Roger maybe can win all the rest of their matches, but he won that USO final and no one can't take that away.

In fact there will be two exhos in Buenos Aires. Fed will spend a whole week here. I would do anything to get a picture with him

Re: The FedPotro Thread

Del Po got asked during the Basel tournament in an interview if he got recognized by people. He answered that he got recognized by one person whilst he was having a walk - and that this person was Roger. He would have stopped in the car when he saw Del Po crossing a bridge and talked to him

Me too... oh_oh!

Still, great thread and yes it's obvious that Fed and JMDP respect, appreciate, and even like each other.
They've been responsible for some fantastic epic encounters the past couple of years and I'd think that any genuine tennis fan will appreciate those.
As apparently most of their mutual fans like both of the guys as well, as I've heard from certain dear folks who attended the Basel final.
See the post above mine .

Quite nice I daresay, I hope this particular Friendly Rivalry will never spark as much of the unnecessary, ridiculous ugliness as did/does the Fedal rivalry...

it is unbelievable

federer noticed del potro being nice to roddick on his retirement

as ever, he sensed an opportunity to humiliate roddick

del potro is an extremely nice guy, too nice sometimes, perhaps

certainly a lot more preferable to the other players in the top 10
