Almagro's English makes Nadal sound like Shakespeare.

Wow... they were just showing this goofy clip of him on The Tennis Channel and this guy absolutely has the thickest, ugliest accent when he speaks English. Yikes!

Why does it matter if he's not very good at speaking in English?

I did not say it mattered at all, but it was really ugly sounding. The Spaniards really do tend to butcher other languages though because the Spanish language has a very small number of phonemes when compared to other languages.

Let's make fun of people who don't speak a certain language well.

Spaniards only speak well in English when we are chewing gum. By the way, how good sounds this guy named Shakespeare? I have not heard him talking ever.

Almost as funny as it would be to hear 65% of Americans trying to speak in Spanish.

It's not his mother's tongue, give him a break.

Like flyboy said, Americans trying to speak Spanish would be fucked up too.

Re: Almagro's English makes Nadal sound like Shakespeare.

In fact he is perhaps one of the few Spanish players that doesn't butcher English with his accent.
But then again you're probably one of those Americans that sounds like you're talking while chewing tablecloth at the same time, so no surprise there.

You're probably surprised there are other nations other than the US.
Let me guess, you thought Mexicans were some drunk Canadians coming off a carnival drinking binge every few months?
