Rafa should grow a beard

Every year at the French Open, I've noticed Nadal lets his beard grow out a little bit.

Not much, much it speaks to my point.

The power of the beard. Even with that little scuffle, he plays well. Usually in other events he is clean shaven, sapping him of his beard power.

Rafa, grow it out, man. Not to George Bastl levels, of course

but around Safin levels.

Why not to Bastl level? That beard was awesome. It's a shame that nobody today has the balls to try it.

Re: Rafa should grow a beard

Not sure Nadal can actually grow out his beard that far. The man has no chest hair. Federer on the other hand could grow hairy forests.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

yes, it would be a spotty beard, would dent it of its intimidation factor.

Re: Rafa should grow a beard

Roddick at Wimbledon 04 had a beard.

Played pretty well that tournament.

Fed never really grew it out.

Not to mention Bjorn Borg.

as soon I read the thread title I was thinking 'Bastl level', so I'm disappointed in your discouragement

I guess while it's fitting for monks, for pretty much anyone anyone else it looks terrifying

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

There is no salvaging Rafa's looks. He's just plain hideous.

If he does it gradually, it will look like the hair is just migrating from the top of his head to his face. It would shift the attention away from the balding.

Why stop at Bastl level, Rafa? Go for the wizard's beard, while you're at it...
