So are Fed and Rafa

The companies looking for endorsement deals have already been treated to two very dominant tennis players, if they're looking for deals they'll either already have one of them or not be interested. This is demonstrated by the fact that although Rafa has been at the top or near it for almost the same length of time as Federer, the difference in their endorsement earnings is definitely greater than the difference in their career achievements, perhaps as Fed got there first. Plus Djokovic hasn't achieved half of what either of them have done yet, nor has he been at the top for very long by comparison. Fed and Rafa have proven themselves as sound investments, Djokovic hasn't yet.

Plus there's that small matter of global economic stagnation. Not too many companies will want to be spending much on endorsement deals.

Will Federer regain the #1 spot and break Sampras's record for most weeks at the top?

Roger // Rafa // Raonic // Söderling // Goffin // Ivo // Wawrinka // Baker // Delpo

I think ND should retire from tennis and run for secretary general of the UN. Clearly being a tennis player is not utilizing all his talents.

Na Li is also a MB ambassador... A global ambassador mind you, I believe like Federer.

From the Daimler site:

Wow. I think it is a done deal. Nole is well on his way to have bigger endorsements. Rafa and Federer must be quite pissed about not getting the Serbia and Montenegro deal...

What does Nole has to say about this?

Quote:
I am pleased that we have achieved this partnership. This year is the best year of my career and I also know that this is specially significant for Mercedes.

Nice to see the arrogant Serb does not think too highly of himself anymore.

I live in Asia. Novak is nowhere as big a star as Roger or even Rafa.

And rising Asian giants China and India do well by catering to the American market. Even in these times of crisis, Americans spend more than the rest of the world. That's where the money is. Do the math. :-)

Re: Will Novak surpass Roger and Rafa in edorsements?

Ok this is a retoric question. If Novak keeps being as dominant as he is now, he will start being signed to major brands. The results are already coming. He's a very marketable guy, he's already attracting a lot of interest. So if rewsults keep coming, endorsements will follow. It is like that how this business works. Roger or Rafa are not more marketable than Novak, they just happen to be big champions. Time will tell. Not that I will lose any sleep about this though. Tennis si what counts and I'll be happy to just watch Nole dominate the next years.

Well due to inflation, Djoker should out earn Federer anyways, if Federer retires next year.
