Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

I've had mono so I know what it's like. I couldn't hit my way out of a paper bag for months. Roger must be Superman to have avoided the same fate as Mario Ancic. I think the food poisoning he got is what hurt him more.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

Someone needs his diaper changed:

Quote:
Federer said being introduced as the world's second best player was the worst thing about the end of his record four-and-a-half-year reign in August.

"It doesn't change a whole lot, I just don't like the ring of it when I'm being introduced on Centre Court saying, 'and this is the number two in the world,'" he said.

"It just sounds wrong. Either I'm number one or I'm a grand slam champion, but I'm not number two."
I suppose, "Your Highness", is what he's really looking for...

Thanks for the gutsy run, Phillies!!! World Series Champs...2010!!!

Roland Garros 2010: THE RETURN OF THE KING

Quote:
"If going to the ledge so often, both mentally and physically, shaves a couple years off of Rafael Nadal's career, so be it. Because of him, and because of his performances in matches like this, we've gotten to see just how far the sport can push a man"

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

He said it in a way that made the journalists laugh, ok?

Just like how he said "We're not dating" when they asked him if he missed Nadal not being in Shanghai.

I thought Federer didn't care about the ranking anymore?

What an ass

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

I've seen Federer in person a few times on practice courts and several occasions in Australia. He's a real funny guy. He said that ranking thing in a funny way. Even if he was serious I don't see anything wrong with it anyway, you need the confidence and ego if you want to be the best.

The BIGGEST (borderline delusional) fan of players on General Message Board according to Forehander:
Grigor Dimitrov: FedererBulgaria
Borna Coric: Crowdmaker
Nick Krygios: Dan.
Tommy Haas: Leng Jai
Sebastien Grosjean: Myself
Novak Djokovic: Chiico (Leader of the No1e Cult)

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

that or the super dorky presser when he was asked about People's magazine naming him as one of the sexiest men alive
Roger likes to joke with the press, but never making fun of anyone else but himself

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

I'm so refreshed and challenged by his unique point of view. What a great, lovely man. Our good Jesus Christ was born too soon, it should've been Federer!
