I think both of these opinions go too far in what "should be" a "Fedal" or "Fedovic" fan : there's diversity in each group of fans, I'm primarily a Fedfan but there are many Fedfans whose opinions I don't like at all and even I fight against more than against the opinions of fans of other players'.

Why couldn't it be the same among "Fedals" or "Fedovics" ?

And the feelings when these players meet are surely complex and diverse, it may also change according to the moment when it happens.

There's no way telling the others what they "should feel" : everybody keeps one's own individual feelings, and it's well as it is.

Re: Fedovic Thread

Granted, some people are taking these "pairing wars" (Fedovic vs Fedal vs Fedalovic vs Murderer vs Nadarray vs Rafole) to ridiculous extremes, but I'm pretty sure most of us are in it for the lulz (at least this thread appears to have been initiated with a tongue-in-cheek attitude). As long as the fapping stays within the threads (and, in some cases, communities) designed to that very purpose, I don't see what harm it can do to the society at large.

society at large?

i dunno. i kind of wish there were more bad blooded rivalries in tennis. we need more trash-talk and less PC media-delivered answers. sadly, that's not bound to happen in this era

Rest assured those happy times will come again! This courteous phase is only transitory, I'm sure.

Re: Fedovic Thread

Bumping this because they're playing on the Burj al Arab helipad together tomorrow apparently

Will Federer regain the #1 spot and break Sampras's record for most weeks at the top?

Roger // Rafa // Raonic // Söderling // Goffin // Ivo // Wawrinka // Baker // Delpo

Interesting link and arguments. Is this the most underrented rivalry on the (present) top?

?There?s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,? he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, ?they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don?t succeed in the end. I?m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.?
