Rafa seems like a poor little humble child from some rural island but his family owns several restaurants and is very well off, his uncle was a star footballer for Barcelona and Mallorca.
I was thinking... on one hand, it's easier to become a better player and thus to amass such huge fortunes with economic help from an affluent family or from sponsors able to recognize talented youngsters. You can concentrate fully on your tennis and not worry about food
I'm guessing neither Nadal or Federer had to endure the kind of life Amir Weintrau describes in his blog entries.
But it's also true that without talent, commitment and hard work, they wouldn't be where they are today.
Probably, even with the same economic help, Weintrau wouldn't have reached the same crazy level of those two.
So I'll let them enjoy the millions that they've sweated for (as long as they pay their taxes and give back to charity
