Re: Tennis pros on twitter

Every time i go on tennistweets.com to see what the pros are saying, I see most of the tweets are from the loser Gimelstob. Somebody should tell him that nobody really cares what he has to say.

He has 8000 followers, surely one or two of them cares?

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Bob Bryan tweeted me back a couple of times and maybe Roddick too once, I can't recall.
Oh, and Taylor Dent as well, more than once.

Kuznecova? Azarenaka?

What's the difference between 8,000 followers and 40 following? 40 seems a bit more realistic about how many care about what he has to say.

Do you understand how Twitter works? 8000+ people follow him to read his posts, so they care to some degree (even if a few those just follow to mock him or whatever). Many respond to him when he posts, so your assertion that 'nobody' cares is just wrong. Just say that YOU don't care what he posts, it's a valid opinion.

Justin only follows 40 people himself because it's all he has time for. I don't know if those same 40 people even follow him. In fact, I know at least one of them doesn't.
