Re: 2010 Clay Season

Phew. 6-4 6-4. Could have been 6-2 6-1 but I wont complain after saving 2 BPs in the last game.

In L'Equipe:
Quote:
The showers of the brand new changing-rooms not working didn't dampen his good mood, he was all smile after his match. He says he was solid from the beginning to the end, served well, varied his second serve nicely. And he likes the surface which suits him, the clay is fast and the bounce high.
He's lost three times to Nole last year without taking a set, but there were a couple of close sets. And he stresses he never played him on clay. The key for him will be to vary the height of his shots, play cross-court shots, vary his serve a lot and be aggressive.

Actually didn't play that bad, but in this form he is just no match for Djokovic.

Right... here. No need to gloat just because you're a Djokovic fan over Jeremy.

Re: 2010 Clay Season

Nothing to do with Chardy or Djokovic, just about your statement. Just admit that you were wrong.

Re: 2010 Clay Season

It was not possible to know in advance, but he definitely wasn't playing rubbish yesterday.

In L'Equipe:
Quote:
– P. Co.
The journalist says that Jim should work on his return for next week. Jim: "I've never seen a player return that well. I always was on the defensive, even on my serve, which I'm not used to." It was his toughest loss to Djoko, although the surface was supposed to favour him more. "It's disappointing for sure. He taught me a good lesson. I will rewatch it on video to draw lessons from it." We'll see in Munich next week if he's been studious.

Re: 2010 Clay Season

The one thing I repeatedly noticed was how deep Djoker's returns were. Every second shot that Jeremy hit after his serve was off of his back foot. too good from the Serbian, but that ST shirt was awful.

Simon, Mannarino, Chardy,
Paire, Benneteau, Gicquel

Muzza

Fogna

Dolgopolov, Petzschner, Kamke, Malisse, Haase, Andujar, Riba

Another bad draw and a pretty bad loss. Let's hope he gets some easy draws the coming weeks, the clay season is almost over
