Australasian Summer & Early Hard Season - Cheering/Scoring/News

Jim was seen today practising in Brisbane (or yesterday in Brisbane ) for 90 mins with Richie Gasquet.

Once I get the OK from the photographer I will post the pictures. He looks very pale skinned (but that will change in a few days I expect.) I am badgering my friend to take more pics during the tourney too

EDIT: Here is the link to the photos, and one for a taster

I am not surprised, I have had a bad feeling before. I am suspicious about his health. I know that he tried to downplay his problems in Toulouse. Toulouse is as close as a tourney can get to his home region. He was the attraction of that tourney, I always doubted he withdrew for nothing there. I hope to be wrong, though.

Then he would have retired or withdrawn I guess. When does the hurting stop?!

I hope it's before the clay season...

Re: Australasian Summer & Early Hard Season - Cheering/Scoring/News

apparently according to my man on the spot, who was changing courts and walked past him, he proper smashed up a racquet . I am trying to find out details, but he is sleeping atm. Shocking no?

EDIT: he threw it so hard, Tomas was watching Lucie on the next court and he turned to look, and everyone else turned to look. It was so loooud. Seems he is really trying to fill Marat's shoes for me , but thats unlike him no?

Re: Australasian Summer & Early Hard Season - Cheering/Scoring/News

They don't mention his match at all in L'Equipe today, so I doubt he's injured, he was probably just playing poorly.
There are a few lines about the matches of Gicquel, Clément, Llodra, but not Jérémy's.

A win would have been nice to secure his seeding at the AO, but I guess he will be fine - I haven't done the maths?

They won in doubles against the 2nd seeds (3-6 7-6(4) 10-4).

That's sad they don't even mention him

Btw, there are three new photos in the link at the top, from the doubles match. Serve was working again apparently
