Re: Jeremy's summer season.

Ugh, double blow with the loss AND the seeding. He'll really have to improve the big moments against top players.

Re: Jeremy's summer season.

That really sucks that he lost today .
I actually was there on Wednesday and I got to watch him.And let me tell you he’s so HOT in person !And he was playing really well.I was cheering my ass off for him.It really felt like me against the entire crowd. They were of course cheering for Isner .The guy behind me was so obnoxious he was like having conversations with Isner during the match. At one point he yelled it sucks it’s hot but you can do it.And at first I thought he was saying Jeremy sucks.I swear I was about to jump across the seats and knock him out(Yes im a girl but I think at that point I had enough anger in me to knock him out ).And then I realized he was just saying it sucks because the weather was so hot.It was kind of awkward and sudden when Isner quit the match.I think the reason he quit was because the weather was getting to him he really looked like he was about to either puke or pass out or both.It was kind of funny seeing Isner looking like he was going to die and Jeremy looked like he didn’t feel the weather at all.Anyway I'm so so so glad got to see him live ........

Re: Jeremy's summer season.

Lucky you seeing him live, his game looks even better in person, I think.

Very disappointed about today's match, even whilst I didn't hold out much hope for his victory once I saw the breezy conditions. Annoying about the seeding, too. Maybe someone above him will still withdraw.

and him and Simon lost their doubles (not a surprise, of course) 6-2 6-4

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: Jeremy's summer season.

Jeremy is a great hope for the future. I liked him when I saw him on TV a few times, but in person his game seems even bigger! I love love love his tennis. I got to see him beat Lu and got a photo with him after (but he looks half dead, see exhibit A below!)
Hopefully he can cause a stir at the USO He is a great guy, I am kind of regretting not seeing him on a practice court to chat him up (with his wonderful french accent )

I am already looking forward to seeing him in 2011 (or maybe before that if I go to the USO sometime), this kid has talent!!!

^ nice pic!

shame about the loss of those extra 45 points, though I don't begrudge it of Hewitt.

Re: Jeremy's summer season.

Very easy draw, if Jeremy plays good then i think he should make the semi finals. He is 1-1 with Fish this year but i think he is now a better player and should beat him, and he also beat Robredo easily in Cinci. I think a semi would be a nice set up to the US Open.

He seems like a very nice and likable guy, but he looks like he's about to drop dead.

Re: Jeremy's summer season.

Really odd loss, but I guess Flo could use some kind of productivity. I'm certainly done with this tournament unless Fabrice takes out Kolya.

Simon, Mannarino, Chardy,
Paire, Benneteau, Gicquel

Muzza

Fogna

Dolgopolov, Petzschner, Kamke, Malisse, Haase, Andujar, Riba
