The Argentine tennis player is finally recovered from the herniated disc in his back and aims to be in the Top 30 next year.
The Cordoban tennis player, Agustín Calleri, who is finally recoverd from a disc problem, has said that one of his objectives for the next year is to get back to the worlds' Top 30.
"I start in 2006 with hopes that it will be a very good year. My first step will be to return to the Top 50 best ones" (he is currntly ranked 53) "and from there I will fight to obtain a position in the Top 30" in the world ", said the former Argentine Davis Cup player. Calleri added: "I am totally recovered from the herniated disc problems now. I took all possible care this year and aproached this pre-season as I have never done before. I have trained every day for the last month because I also want to test my abdominal muscles at the highest level as I have also had problems there. I feel well and my serve is at a good level that I have not had for a while", explained the man from Rio Cuarto.
Looing back on his 2005 season, the Cordoban indicated: "I finished the year playing well, but it was an irregular year because I had the disc problem and I think I did not wait for it to heal properly before returning. With all injuries it is necessary to get over them completely and in the best way possible, both physically and psychologically and I have done that now".
Finally, when we asked him what makes him think he can return to the Top 30, he replied without doubt, "Because I am playing well and I am hungry".
