Now that Richard is out of Roland Garros already, its time to look forward to the Grass Season!

The first stop is Queen's from June 6th - 12th. :D

Our boy will also celebrate his 25th birthday on the 18th of June! :D

And then Wimbledon from June 20th - July 3rd! :bounce:

Alllez!! :rocker2:

Hopefully a good grass court season and as many points as possible, Richard isn't defending anything for Queens or Wimbledon therefore it should give him a bigger motivation to do well and move up the rankings!! :)

A week till it starts but Richard will play on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

To make semi in Queens, he must beat a top 4 seed (Nadal Djoko Murray or Fish) NOT EASY!
But if Novak and Rafa withdraw (everything is possible), Gasquet is seed n°4 :worship:
*Dream on*

Murray might have to let his ankle heal. He said after his match today he was on more pills than Ozzie Osbourne and he'll need to be in top shape for his whipping by Richie at Wimbly . And maybe Nadal and Djoke will wear each other to total exhaustion in the FO final and need more than a week to recover - one can dream...

Since 2006, he only lost against Federer twice, Nalbandian, Murray (famous five-setters) and Qureshi ( grass specialist- weird loss anyway) on grass
Only top players except Qureshi.
A loss against Clement doesn't count because it was indoor due to rain.

I guess we won't be seeing Richard playing 10 feet behind on the grass whereas we will see that flashy and attacking tennis from him. :p

 I hope Richard feels better soon.

Maybe it isn't a serious injury but he just wants to rest enough for Wimbly.

If he needs more rest for Wimbly, he really is in pretty poor shape because he didn't have that strenuous of a French OPen.

He probably missed a golden opportunity at Queens because I suspect Murray will drop out to let his ankle heal and one would think both Nadal and Djoke would really need the rest (assuming they both make it to final) and also withdraw but Nadal has been known to play the FO final and play on grass 2 days later so who knows.

But yes hopefully it is a minor muscle problem and he is just taking precautions.

Noooooooo Richard!!

This is sooo annoying, I was really looking forward to seeing him playing in Queens.

I hope he's alright for Wimbledon!!

 I hope you see him in Wimbly then. Have you bought tix for Queen's already?

True but maybe he needs matches on the grass, actually we need to know how serious the injury is, he might not even be able to play till Wimbledon starts.

This is where Facebook or Twitter for Richard comes in very handy.

I don't think if this was the problem but if you remember towards the end of the match between Gasquet and Djokovic it looked like Richard landed on his leg, at first glance it didn't look bad but maybe now it's got worse??

If he misses Wimbledon: he is officially the UPOAT (Unluckiest player of all times)

Or it could be something completely different.

I would like to think that he's just being very sensible with his scheduling and making sure he's ok for Wimbledon. Better to miss Queens by far. Also re match practice there are grass courts in Paris.
