With Fab unlikely to still be playing after the end of the year it looks like just Ljubicic and Federer with the chance to play in every GS of this decade. Obviously they have had very different results.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Getting on the list & staying on it takes a combination of good health, keeping your ranking in the top 100, and some good luck. Ferreira surpassed Edberg to set the record & they obviously had much different results in majors. Hrbaty was the best chance among active players to pass Ferreira, but one injury did him in. Of the top five players on the "most consecutive weeks in the top 100" only one (Santoro) is on this list. The others (Moya, Grosjean, Hewitt, Ferrero) had injuries along the way that resulted in some absences.

That Federer stat is unbelievable! He's 27 and Santoro is 35. Is Santoro gonna quit next year?

if Roger wants to break Ferreira's record, how long does he have to keep playing?

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

To equal Ferreira at 56, he'll have to play all 4 grand slams until and including 2013.
He'll be 32 then - his statements have suggested he's up to playing to this age. The body has to follow of course.
(I'm trying not to think of his possible GS win number now, as I let this sink in)

So Santoro and Federer are the only two players who attend every GS of the 00's. Nice effort.

Re: Consecutive Grand Slam Tournaments Played (as of 2010 Australian Open)

updated after Australian Open

Santoro now only needs one to tie (& two to pass) Frazier's record for total Grand Slam tournaments played.

so if Roger plays Wimbledon/USO 10 and AO/RG 11 he'll tie Santoro being much younger

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos
